Each person is not defined by how they appear on the outside. That is the beautiful thing about people. Each one of us is different, and each one of us has multiple layers that make us who we are. One individual has more to them then what meets the eye. Usually it is all the layers that make up this person which are the most beautiful.

     To convey this idea I took pictures of people and before I took their picture, I asked them what they were passionate about, what they love most about life, and what they think makes up who they are. All of their answers rooted from something genuine. I found that while taking these pictures of what people love most in life was what truly captured the essence of who they are more so then by taking a single portrait of them. I combined all these layers together in a single image for each person, to combine their layers and their body as one. It is all the layers of these people that truly make up who they are.
